Sharpen Your Jointer/Power Planer Blades in 3 Minutes Without Removing Them - Old School Method

Everybody dreads having to sharpen their jointer blades because it’s a finicky and time-consuming job to remove and re-install them, but it’s not necessary to remove the blades to sharpen them as often as you think. In this video I’m going to show you an old school method that will allow you to sharpen (or in this case hone) the blades without removing them in less than three minutes and extend the life of your blades. This method also works on most power planers as well. The first thing you will need is a blade hone or honing stone. I’m using an extremely fine diamond honing stone. Watch the video for the rest!
