In this maiden FPV test flight, we're seeing if the massive 50MP 1-inch sensor and the ultra-efficient GP3 processor live up to the hype for cinematic drone pilots. I strapped the Mission 1 Pro to my custom freestyle rig to test its 8K Open Gate while flying over the ridge lines. To keep the shutter speed dialed and get that buttery motion blur in the bright California sun, I’m running the brand-new GoPro M-Series ND Filters (which the camera amazingly auto-detects to adjust shutter speed). We'll also look at how the GP-Log2 footage handles color space transformations in DaVinci Resolve, and how the camera's 207g weight affects Betaflight tuning and battery draw on custom builds. For this flight, I shot 8K 4:3 Aspect Ratio in wide with D-Log M, locked 100 ISO, 5500K WB with stabilization off. I didn't stabilze with Gyroflow but used the GoPro Quick App with Hypersmooth Pro.
