How to repair a Bosch washing machine that won't start

My Bosch washing machine wouldn't start. When I selected a wash program with the dial the digital display on the screen lit up with the time ok but nothing would happen when I pressed the start button. This video shows how I investigated and resolved the issue. The cost of purchasing a replacement part (Mechanical door interlock) online was under £31 (approx. $41 USD).
