Carlton World Last Day (Jan 31st 2000)

Carlton World was a part-time channel running between 7pm and midnight in the space after Carlton Kids. Having closed (with no goodbyes) moments earlier, now Carlton World takes to the air for the evening. The first couple of programmes get repeated again before bedtime, and as you'd expect there are plenty of trailers for Carlton Food Network, and even Carlton Select which didn't close down until a month later. In an example of rather poor scheduling, trailers promoting Worzel Gummidge on Carlton Kids (which permanently closed earlier in the day) are also seen. Plus more of that 'beautiful baloon' promo as ONdigital spread the word of Discovery Kids and Discovery Wings, the replacement services that would begin the day after.
