The crispy batter was thicker than I'd imagined. And then, with a cold beer. A winner! I then headed to Atami Ginza Shopping Street. At the festival-like Sakana Yokocho, I enjoyed scallops, crab gratin, and golden-eyed snapper sushi. It was like a seafood festival. I couldn't stop bar-hopping from midday. Finally, I returned to the hotel, and enjoyed a quiet drink while soaking my feet in the open-air bath in my room. After a bar-hopping spree in Atami, I ended my day with a soak in the open-air foot bath.
