Tips on Avoiding CRATERS in your Royal Icing Details

Here is an updated tutorial of that method if you’re interested. 😊    • UPDATED! How to Avoid Craters in Your Roya...   To put it mildly, craters that form in your icing are BEYOND frustrating. Like many bakers recommend, adding text/detail over just a crusted base is the best way to avoid cratering. However, life happens, and we aren’t always able to add detail to cookies so quickly. Sometimes, the base dries fully before we can add our details. That can take us to Crater City, but there’s one extra step you can take in this situation to help increase your chances of avoiding that route.
