Sotto says impeachment trial offers Escudero chance to prove impartiality
Senate President Pro Tempore Vicente 'Tito' Sotto III said Sen. Francis 'Chiz' Escudero is willing to serve as presiding officer for the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. Sotto also told #OnPoint that the trial is a good opportunity for Escudero to demonstrate his impartiality and clean up his public image. Escudero faced backlash last year for allegedly delaying the impeachment proceedings against Duterte.
