For the latter half of my trip, I stayed in Porto, Portugal's second-largest city, and enjoyed the city's daily life from my base in an apartment hotel. While traveling, it's easy to cram in sightseeing and dining out, but in Porto, using the kitchen in my room and walking around with grocery bags in hand—these "times spent living like a local" were also important moments that brought me closer to this city.
