We’re flying from London Heathrow to New York City with Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy – but first, we checked out Heathrow’s brand new Club Rooms lounge at Terminal 3, which opened in April 2025. This lounge is a big step up from what we’ve seen before: no buffets, no queues, just full table service with cocktails, wine, and food brought directly to you. At around £50 per person, it’s a clear upgrade from the No.1 Lounge—better atmosphere, quieter, more luxurious, and genuinely worth it. Then it was time to board Virgin’s Premium Economy, and this is where the trip really took off. From a welcome glass of bubbles in real glassware to hot meals plated on china with metal cutlery, Virgin really nails the small touches. Drinks kept flowing (yes, including Bloody Marys), the cheesecake dessert hit the spot, and service was top notch throughout. We’ll show you: ✈️ Premium Economy seats, comfort & amenities 🥂 Food, drinks, and in-flight service 📺 Entertainment (and yes, Wicked kept me busy for 3 hours) 🛏️ Blankets, pillows & Virgin’s signature afternoon tea 🛬 Landing at JFK ready for a 6-week U.S. adventure So—is Virgin Premium Economy worth the upgrade? This video will give you the full picture, with a lounge bonus thrown in. 👉 Have you tried Virgin Premium Economy, or one of their lounges?
