Mercedes 600SEL. Engine harness body mounted. First look before repair
www.RestoreYourMercedes.com Engine wiring harness-body mounted. This harness came from a 1992 Mercedes 600SEL. Also found in 1993 to 1995 600SEL, S600, 600SL and SL600. The problem with these harnesses is the mass air flow sensor wiring insulation fails. Some wires that go to electric fan resistor in R129 V12s can also fail. I prefer to repair those wires without complete harness removal. I like to replace failed wires when this harness is still installed in the vehicle.
