The Sound of Success | André Heuvelman | TEDxHaarlem

If you are a fan of the trumpet it’s more likely than not that you are familiar with André Heuvelman. He’s been playing since he was just 10. In his talk André talks about Desire and Freedom: the ability to hold space and connect with the world through your own being. Finding your trumpet, your true face. André Heuvelman is trumpetist for Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.. He has been playing trumpet since he was just 10, and was born with a rare condition leaving him with a slight handicap on his left arm, a really weak wrist and four fingers. He started at the Conservatorium and later was playing for the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
