Not since the introduction of the 6.5 Creedmoor, have we seen such a game changing cartridge introduction. A short list of key features and benefits include: Hornady’s combination of perfect case design and bullets with very high ballistic coefficients results in amazing energy retention and minimal wind drift, even out of short barrel lengths. The 7mm PRC uses a standard magnum bolt face and has a standard overall length of 3.30” and, therefore, fits in a standard magnum length magazine box. This means we can easily rebarrel existing bolt action rifles in most magnum calibers to a 7mm PRC. Recoil falls between a 30-06 and 300 Win. Mag and is very manageable without muzzle brakes or suppressors. Even with a 20” barrel length, cartridge performance is outstanding, making this a very suppressor friendly cartridge.
