Sarasota to Longboat Key & Anna Maria Island Sunset Drive | St. Armands Circle | 4K Florida Scenic Drive Experience one of Florida's most beautiful coastal drives as we explore Sarasota, Bird Key, St. Armands Circle, Longboat Key, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and Anna Maria Island during a spectacular Gulf Coast sunset. This relaxing drive begins in Sarasota before crossing the iconic John Ringling Causeway. Along the way, we stop at Bird Key Park, one of the area's best scenic overlooks, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Sarasota Bay, the downtown skyline, the Ringling Bridge, and colorful Gulf Coast sunsets that make this region famous. We continue through historic St. Armands Circle, the shopping and dining destination envisioned by circus entrepreneur John Ringling nearly a century ago. From there, we travel along Ken Thompson Parkway, home to beautiful waterfront parks, tropical landscapes, and one of our favorite "secret spots" overlooking Sarasota Bay. Crossing onto Longboat Key, you'll experience one of Florida's premier barrier islands, known for luxury waterfront homes, championship golf courses, beautiful beaches, boating, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. Along the drive, you'll pass The Water Club, Bay Isles, the Longboat Key Club, and many elegant Gulf-front communities surrounded by towering banyan trees, royal poinciana trees, and lush tropical landscaping. As the evening unfolds, you'll witness one of Florida's most beautiful natural events. During the summer months, Saharan dust drifting across the Atlantic from Africa creates brilliant shades of orange, gold, pink, and red across the Gulf Coast sky. These unforgettable sunsets are one of the reasons so many people fall in love with Florida's west coast. Continuing north, we cross Longboat Pass before arriving at Coquina Beach, Historic Bridge Street, Bridge Street Pier, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and the northern end of today's adventure.
