British Battleship HMS King George V 1/700 Tamiya

The battleship King George V was built in 1936 under Washington Treaty restrictions. She was launched on 21 February 1939 and commissioned into the Royal Navy on 1 October 1940. She participated in the attack and sinking of the German Battleship Bismarck in the North Atlantic, 27 May 1941.She was transferred to the Mediterranean Sea participated in the invasion of Sicily 1943 and was transferred again in 1944 to the Pacific theater where she fired her last shot during the naval bombardment of Hamamatsu, Japan 1945.
