Installation of SANECOR® DN800 and DN1000 mm sewerage pipes and manholes in Rena, Spain

Find out how we overcame the high water table just 50 metres from the River Alcollarín using Molecor technology. The inlet sewer (4 km long, 800 mm in diameter) and the outlet sewer (1,000 mm in diameter) leading to the Rena wastewater treatment plant in Extremadura (Spain) have been installed. The main challenge of this project was the massive presence of water in the trench due to the river’s proximity. However, thanks to the watertightness, speed of installation and the joint design (housed within a rib and impossible to kink) of the Molecor pipes, the project has been completed to everyone’s complete satisfaction. In addition, more than 100 manholes have been installed along the route, comprising manoholes with integral connections for the deeper sections and manholes with accessible bases for subsequent installation in shallower areas.
