Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe Spaghetti Carbonara Ingredients 150g spaghetti pasta 30g grated Pecorino Romana cheese 2 egg yolks 10g Pınar Butter 100g sliced beef bacon (smoked beef entrecôte) Freshly ground black pepper How to Make Spaghetti Carbonara Boil water in a deep, wide pot to cook the pasta. Once the water boils, add salt. Place the spaghetti in boiling salted water. Cook for 1 minute less than the package cooking time, stirring occasionally. Set the pasta water aside for later use. For the pasta sauce, combine the pecorino cheese and 2 egg yolks in a large bowl and mix well with a whisk. Add half a ladleful of the cooked pasta water and whisk until creamy. Season with freshly ground black pepper and set the sauce aside. Cut the bacon into small pieces. In a large pan, melt the butter and bacon and cook evenly over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Add the cooked pasta and a small amount of the pasta water, stir again, and remove from the heat. Quickly add the pecorino cream, stirring well to combine the pasta and sauce. (The reason we turned off the heat is to prevent the eggs from cooking.) The spaghetti carbonara is ready. Transfer it to a serving plate while still hot. Garnish with pecorino cheese and the remaining cooked bacon from the pan. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and serve. Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe Tips: *Pecorino Romano, the recommended cheese for making carbonara, is a very salty and flavorful Italian cheese, so there's no need to add salt. *Pecorino Romana cheese is a combination of Parmigiano-Reggiano or Parmigiano-Reggiano. *If you find the carbonara too runny, you can thicken it by adding a little grated pecorino cheese.
