Nag Tibba : Mountain of the Serpent God | 4k silent hiking video
Nag Tibba Trek नाग तिब्बा Region: Uttarakhand Dificulty Level: Easy to Moderate Maximum Altitude: 3,050m / 10,000ft Distance: 18km Base Village: Pantwari Best time: Throughout the year Nag Tibba means the Serpent’s Peak. It is the highest peak in lower Himalayas of Garhwal region near Mussoorie. I did the nag tibba trek on 6 & 7 of February. I got to see nice snow on the trail because it had snowed 2 or 3 days ago. You can travel to Pantwari (via Nainbaugh) on your own, or you can pre book your batch with a tour operator. If you pre book your batch. They will pick you up from dehradun no need of changing taxis. At Pantwari, I met shubham (visit nagtibba). He is a very good tour operator in my experience. All his guides are also very good people. I am thankful to god that we got such a good guide for our trek. If you don’t have trekking equipment. Don’t worry. You will get everything in pantwari on rent. Shoes, gaiters, micro spicks, trekking poles or sticks. Rather than taking decathlon’s waterproof shoes. I will suggest you to take rubber shoes on rent for ₹150/- only.. They are waterproof and if water goes in them, they dry quickly. They call it a beginner’s trek, but i found that it is very tiring to complete in 2 days. Especially on the second day. Because you go to summit from the base camp and return all the way down to pantwari on the same day. You start the day at 3:00 am and you keep walking till the afternoon. If you are an experienced Trekker, you may not find it that tiring. Halfway getting down from the base camp, we hired a car to get us down. Nag tibba trek is very famous between Delhiites. You will find lots of Delhiites on the trail. Specially on weekends.
