PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo Review | A Bachata Artist's Perspective

In this video, I share my honest thoughts on the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo after using it as a professional musician, music producer, and full-time performer in New York City. This is not a spec-sheet review. This is a real-world review from the perspective of someone who performs Latin music, bachata, bolero, jazz, and acoustic-electric sets on a regular basis. I'll cover: • Fit and finish • Playability • Expression and dynamics • The piezo bridge system • Live performance applications • What I would improve • How it compares to higher-end guitars like my Godin Montreal Premier • Whether the price is justified • And whether this guitar has any real competition My short version: The PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo is one of the most expressive import guitars I have played. The execution of the piezo system is outstanding, the wraparound bridge design transfers warmth exceptionally well, and for live performance it delivers an impressive balance of electric and acoustic character. While I believe the retail price is a bit high, especially at full MSRP, I also believe there is currently very little direct competition offering this combination of hollowbody construction, piezo functionality, playability, and production quality. If you're a performing musician looking for one guitar that can cover electric and acoustic duties on stage, this instrument deserves serious consideration.
