Join me for a Saturday afternoon ride as I take the TW200 back to one of my favorite childhood spots: Wolf Mountain in North Carolina. The climb starts at Wolf Creek Reservoir and takes us through beautiful Fraser fur farms up to about 3,600 feet. The trail gets pretty rocky and "hairy" in sections, making for some excellent technical riding. I also run into a few fellow riders and manage to dodge a quick mountain thunderstorm that helped kill the dust. Highlights of this trip: The Ride: Navigating the rocky sections and steep climbs of Wolf Mountain. The Gear: A first-time test of the Peak Refuel Coconut Curry Chicken (spoiler: it might be my new favorite trail meal!). The Scenery: Incredible views of the North Carolina mountains and a visit to the secluded town of Rosman.
