Then, small words appeared in the corner of the map. “Even the one who draws the map will one day need a place to return to.” The mapmaker stared at those words for a long time. He had always drawn roads for someone else. But the Mistwood remembered that deep within his own heart, there was still a path that had not yet been drawn. That night, for the first time, he drew a road for himself. He did not know what waited beyond the mist. Even so, his feather pen did not stop. Outside the window, the Mistwood swayed quietly, as if waiting for that road to be completed. Even now, in the old study overlooking the misty forest, a lantern still glows at night.
