Ain't I Lucky by Bess Rudisill (1905)

Original listing and sheet music here: https://musescore.com/user/36482158/s... Another interesting score from Bess Rudisill. The three I've posted so far of hers all convey a sort of liveliness that is different from the norm. She was a teenage piano sensation from rural Missouri who established herself in the big city St. Louis and later moved out to California. Her piano and organ skills were on display throughout her life, plus she published perhaps ten compositions altogether starting from age 17. This is a march two step published by Jerome H. Remick in New York and Detroit in 1905. Here's one of the compositions she published at age 17, "Way Down East" from 1901 and 1902: https://musescore.com/user/36482158/s... Score #116 in my current ongoing series "Women Ragtime Composers" featuring interesting scores all written by ragtime-era women. Plenty more of these to come. The original score source was from www.ragtimepiano.ca at this link: http://www.ragtimepiano.ca/images/luc... This is a reproduction of the original score with the following changes. Measures 40 & 48 corrected all Gs to sharp. Measures 61, 69 & 77 added a sharp to the final RH D so the pattern matches that of measure 53.
