Three companies, one circular system with SSAB Zero™ steel

In the U.S., SSAB Zero™ steel is now moving through a circular supply chain from steelmaking in Iowa to railcar fabrication and then back to SSAB. Produced using recycled steel and fossil free energy, SSAB Zero™ steel has been transported to The Greenbrier Companies for fabrication into gondola railcars. Alter Trading will then use those railcars to return recycled metals to SSAB to produce new steel, closing the loop. This collaboration is built on documented production processes, logistics and material traceability — showing how near zero emissions steel performs at industrial scale.
