This is a fun vocal exploration exercise especially for older elementary (grades 4-6). They can create lots of different sounds for the rolling and bouncing ball, although the tossed ball tends to be a siren every time. Jess uses the words "travelling slowly through the air" instead of "tossing." If you wanted to use it for the beginning of the year to practice names, you could use the person's name as the sound.
