APSARA ~ Tribal Nouveau at Tribal Fest 12

APSARA are a Tribal-Nouveau Temple Dance Troupe based in Portland Oregon, founded by NagaSita in 2009. Together, these muses embrace the sacred in movement to delight and inspire audiences through an opulent display of ritual dance in honor of the ever blossoming lotus. Apsara's of ancient lore are the enchantresses of the celestial court ~ born from the sea to dance in the heavens. Witness the sacred symetry, grace and ferocity of the Goddess as APSARA tells her story. Unveiling a new 9 woman choreography inspired by the Plumed Serpent to honor Quetzalcoatl at TRIBAL FEST 2012 Core members of APSARA include: NagaSita, Koreen and Katy. Fringe troupe members are Ursula, Susie Q, Tabra, Sushila, Anneke, and Amy. Holding true to the Tribal vision, APSARA promotes the feminine bellydance community in its purest form as a sisterhood and sustainable artform.
