One of the greatest chapters in the Companions' story reaches its conclusion. In Episode 13 of my Skyrim Special Edition Mage playthrough, we journey to Glenmoril Coven and defeat the five Glenmoril Witches, collecting the heads needed to break the curse of the beast. But upon returning to Jorrvaskr, tragedy awaits—Kodlak Whitemane has fallen. Together with Vilkas, we set out for Driftshade Refuge to avenge our Harbinger and recover the remaining fragments of Wuuthrad from the Silver Hand. Returning to Whiterun just in time for Kodlak's funeral, we pay our final respects before Eorlund Gray-Mane reforges the legendary battleaxe. With Wuuthrad restored, the Circle gathers beneath the Underforge and travels to Ysgramor's Tomb for one final trial. Battling through ancient spirits, frost spiders, and the guardians of the tomb, we confront Kodlak's Beast Spirit and finally free him from the curse that haunted him in life. The Companions' questline reaches an unforgettable ending, and another legendary adventure comes to a close.
