MSR Switch Stove System Review (BASIC but IN DEPTH)

MSR Switch Stove System Review (BASIC but IN DEPTH) In this video, I take an in-depth look at the 'Switch' stove system which is made by MSR. I have owned this system for a long time now and have used it enough to give my honest thoughts on it. I would say this is a great all-rounder, suited for many different types of outdoor cooking thanks to the versatility it offers in terms of being able to use different cookware; ie not just for boiling water. The simmer control is very fine, so this prevents hotspots and burning of food. It is not the fastest stove in the MSR range, but it doesn't claim to be - it is a solid, regulated stove system which is well built and light. The only downside for some people may be that the pot does not lock into the burner head, so for the few people that like to suspend their stoves in the area eg, in-tent cooking during high altitude mountaineering, then this stove may not be for you - however I don't think people using a stove in that environment would use something like this and would likely be using a proper liquid fuel, remote stove instead. I have used many stoves by various manufacturers, including Jetboil, Soto, Primus - to a large degree, stove choice is personal and therefore very subjective to each user; however I wanted to provide a detailed review and share my thoughts so to that end, I hope this video is useful for those who are considering purchasing a 'Switch' stove system by MSR.
