Converting wav files to the Akai S 3200 with S-Convert

In this video I demonstrate converting modern WAV samples into a native Akai S3200XL disk image using Akai S-Convert, then loading the image directly on an Akai S3200XL using a ZuluSCSI. The goal of Akai S-Convert is to make it easy to move modern sample libraries onto classic Akai hardware without the hassle of legacy computers, SCSI transfers, or outdated floppy workflows. In this demo you’ll see: Convert standard WAV samples into Akai S3200XL format Build an Akai disk image in just a few clicks Load the image from a ZuluSCSI Verify everything loads and plays correctly on the sampler This is part of the ongoing development of Akai S-Convert. More features are being added, including support for additional Akai samplers, improved sample editing, program and keygroup conversion, and more streamlined workflows. Supported Samplers (current and planned) Akai S900 Akai S950 Akai S1000 Akai S1100 Akai S3000 Series Akai S3200XL If you’re into vintage samplers, MPCs, hardware sampling, or preserving classic workflows while using modern storage like ZuluSCSI and SD cards, consider subscribing. I’ll be posting development updates, tutorials, feature previews, and plenty of demonstrations. I’d also love to hear what features you’d like to see added next. #Akai #AkaiS3200XL #ZuluSCSI #Sampling #VintageSampler #Sampler #SCSI #SDCard #RetroMusicGear #MusicProduction #HardwareSampler #S3000 #S1000 #S1100 #S950 #S900 #ElectronicMusic #StudioGear
