They accidentally knocked over a table and were met with hostility from the haughty waitress. The godfather ordered an Emmentaler cheese, which was called "Affentaler" (monkey cheese) here, and was served in a bottle. So they had no choice but to empty the bottle of schnapps. While the confirmand went to the restroom, feeling unwell after smoking a cigar, the godfather started yelling at the other patrons. Their visit to the bar ended with both of them being unceremoniously shown the door.
