Georgia was one of the most watched and nail-biting states in the 2020 election, with Joe Biden defeating Donald Trump by a margin of just 0.23 per cent. Trump and his allies tried everything to “find 11,780 votes”, eventually resorting to claiming the election was stolen. Republicans in the state have overhauled election laws, against the strong opposition of Democrats. And people who maintain the last election was stolen are now in positions responsible for supervising and certifying the next one. Will Georgia again be an epicentre of election court challenges in this year's election between Trump and Kamala Harris? Is it actually possible to steal an election? And is it enough to run a free and fair election, if people don’t believe it was? The ABC's US elections analyst Casey Briggs visits Atlanta, Georgia, to find out.
