[4K] Berlin - Humboldt Forum #2 - die Ausstellungen

Here now, as announced, a commented video on the exhibitions in the Humboldt Forum in the Berlin Palace, for which a ticket is required. You can see the Schlosskeller; the rooms for special exhibitions with "Schrecklich schön. Elephant - Man - Ivory"; the Berlin exhibition "Berlin Global" and the Humboldt Laboratory "After Nature", designed by Humboldt University. (the exhibitions of the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art were not yet accessible at the time this video was made and will be covered in a later video). This video gives impressions and may help to decide which exhibitions are interesting and whether it is worth visiting yourself. However, it is not a virtual tour of the exhibitions. Here is some additional information about the four players working together at the Humboldt Forum: The builder, owner and operator of the Humboldt Forum in the new building of the Berlin Palace is a non-profit foundation under civil law with legal capacity, based in Berlin: the "Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss"(short: SHF). The Foundation is under the patronage of the Federal President, works closely with the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, and is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior for Building and the Federal Ministry of the Interior on the basis of a resolution of the German Bundestag. It carries out cultural events, research projects and mediation work, maintains a permanent exhibition on the history of the site and it coordinates the activities of the other actors in the Humboldt Forum. The 3 other actors or users are the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation with the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art, i.e. the collections of non-European art, as well as the State of Berlin and Humboldt University. Those who want to know exactly can read the joint mission statement and objectives of the four institutions on the website https://www.humboldtforum.org/de/uebe....
