More than a tour or cultural activity, this is a Japanese Cultural Cultivation Program designed to connect participants with the deeper spirit of Japanese culture. Through calligraphy, tea ceremony, Zen meditation, and traditional attire, guests are invited to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Set in historic temples and refined Japanese gardens, the program offers an opportunity to experience the aesthetics, mindfulness, and sense of respect that have shaped Japanese culture for centuries. A Quiet Turning. https://treasure-japan.jp ■体験者の感想 着物での散策 庭園を歩いていると、東京にいながら自然とのつながりを感じることができました。着物を身にまとうことで、その体験はさらに特別なものとなり、日本の文化や伝統をより深く味わうことができました。まるで別の時代に足を踏み入れ、日本を新しい視点から見ているような気持ちになりました。 暗い瞑想室での坐禅体験 坐禅体験は、とても心が落ち着く時間でした。私は幼い子どもが二人いる母親なので、静かな時間を持つことは普段なかなかありません。そのため、ただ静かに座る時間はとても癒やしになりました。また、日本文化の中で「マインドフルネス」や瞑想が長い年月をかけて大切にされてきた理由を、より深く理解することができました。 書道体験と大筆での揮毫 書道体験は、私にとって最もわくわくする時間でした。最初は少し緊張しましたが、それ以上に挑戦してみたい気持ちでいっぱいでした。大きな筆を持ち、大きな紙に漢字を書くことは、一生に一度あるかないかの特別な体験でした。日本の書の芸術をより身近に感じることができました。「家」のようなシンプルな一文字でさえ、芸術作品へと生まれ変わることに驚きました。 私の書作品について 自分が書いた作品をとても誇りに思っています。完璧な作品だとは思っていませんが、私にとって特別な思い出であり、意味のある文化体験の証です。文字の配置を考え、一画一画を丁寧に書き、何世紀にもわたって受け継がれてきた日本の伝統とつながる作品を生み出すことができました。そんな経験ができる人は、そう多くはないと思います。 ■Guest Reflections Walking through the garden wearing a kimono Walking through the garden, I felt connected to nature even though I was still in Tokyo. Wearing a kimono made the experience even more meaningful and allowed me to appreciate Japanese culture and traditions in a deeper way. It felt like stepping into a different time and seeing Japan from a new perspective. Zen meditation in the dark meditation room The Zen meditation experience was incredibly calming. As a mother of two young children, getting a moment of silence is rare, so having the opportunity to sit in silence was very therapeutic. It also gave me a greater appreciation for the role that mindfulness and meditation have played in Japanese culture over the years. The calligraphy session and using the large brush The calligraphy session was the most exciting part for me. I was nervous at first but also eager to try. Holding the large brush and writing kanji on such a large sheet of paper was a once in a lifetime experience. I felt more connected to the Japanese art of writing. Even a simple word like “house” could be transformed into a piece of art. My calligraphy work I am very proud of the calligraphy piece I created. I don’t think it’s perfect, but it represents a special memory and a meaningful cultural experience. I considered the placement, drew each stroke, and created something that connected me to a centuries-old Japanese tradition. Not many people can say that!
