Most visitors see Ha Long Bay from large tourist cruises. I wanted to experience something different. In this video, I leave the usual tourist route behind and spend the day exploring Ha Long Bay aboard a local fishing boat. Along the way I discover floating villages, hidden corners of the bay, local life on the water, a traditional market, Vietnamese egg coffee, and some incredible scenery that many visitors never get to see.
