A panel of top university leaders debated issues of transformation in higher education at the Baxter Concert Hall on 21 October 2014. The panel comprised: Dr Max Price (UCT Vice-Chancellor), Prof Jonathan Jansen (Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Free State) and Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng (Vice Principal: Research and Innovation at the University of South Africa) and was chaired by Prof Sakhela Buhlungu (Dean: UCT Faculty of Humanities).
