In the late 19th century, William Whiteley imagined something entirely new for the city of London: the capital's first department store - an emporium of fabrics, curiosities, and small wonders, later known as The Whiteley. Time eventually intervened, and by the 1980s, its doors had closed, and the building lingered in a kind of architectural half-sleep. Now, this fabled London landmark is reawakening: façades restored, volumes respected, and within them, a new constellation of residences, restaurants, boutiques, and the city’s first Six Senses Spa. One of the designers handpicked to reimagine a residence was Maoliosa Murray, who, taking cues from the site's Art Deco inheritance, chose a variety of designs from Invisible Collection. Crafted by the very best French artisans, they echo the building’s timeless design language: a generous ensemble of sunburst straw-marquetry tables, ethereal glass chandeliers, and sumptuous seating.
