I visit the MASSIVE Original Sewing & Quilt Expo in Atlanta! 🪡🧵2026

This episode of Atlanta Fabric Tourism is a little different than previous videos for a few reasons...mainly? We're visiting a major event that the Atlanta area is lucky to host EVERY YEAR! The Original Sewing & Quilt Expo tours the USA and always makes its yearly stop at the Gas South Convention Center in Duluth, GA, right outside of Atlanta for a visit! If Expo has popped by your area before and you've never had a chance to visit so you have no idea what to expect...it's MASSIVE! I'm always excited to visit it every year and sift through all the things I could possibly buy but probably shouldn't (adulting is hard, y'all). I always find something new and cool that I absolutely need. Between the crazy fabric selection, the multitude of new machinery available, not to mention the amazing supply of notions and sewing room furniture...all available to purchase and demo in one space? It's so fun, but my wallet classifies the entire experience as a "problem". 😅 So join me as I check out the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo, visit some local businesses, some friends, lurk on the outer edges of sewing classes and panels, and ogle what feels like a million quilts(all of them gorgeous). I tried my best to note shop names and locations throughout the video. If you're looking to dive further into any of these businesses, or maybe visit their brick and mortar's in person, a full list can be found on the Expo website. https://www.sewingexpo.com/ The majority of these shops have their own sites and social media and are pretty easy to find with quick search online! 👇Does the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo visit a city near you? Is there another big sewing event in your area that you super love? For those of you who attended this year...did you buy anything cool or take any amazing classes?
