1.2 How to design a controller? Poles & Stability | Fundamentals
Poles of a transfer function can be used to determine the stability of a system. For a continuous system, if the real part of the poles are negative then the system is stable. Whereas if the real part of any pole is positive then the system is unstable. A pole zero map can be used to easily plot the location of the poles. chapters for this series are: 1) Fundamentals 2) Bode Plots 3) Closed Loop Transfer Functions 4) Nyquist and Stability Margins 5) Loop Shaping ▀▀▀ Time Stamps: 0:00 Intro 0:33 Last Time 2:01 Example Plant 5:41 Example Closed Loop 7:37 Pole Zero Map 9:22 Pole Placement 9:51 Problems 11:50 Next Time ▀▀▀ The animations were made using MANIM and a custom Control Theory Library developed by my student Jort Stammen: https://github.com/JortStamme/Control... ▀▀▀ Music: I used Google Flow Music to create the themesong ▀▀▀ Patreon: / virtuallypassed Instagram: / virtuallypassed
