Mountain Flying | A2A Cherokee 180 | ORBX SoCal | Active Sky NEXT | P3D V3.2

Decided to go on a flight that I haven't done before and record it so you can see what's involved in the pre flight process and how I navigate along a route I've never flown before. Turned out to be a great lesson as well discussing mountain flying and mountain weather. Also take note that density altitude is not simulated in the simulator, so the performance would have been much worse than what you saw in this video. The sim takes into account the altitude change but not the density altitude, which is pressure altitude corrected for non standard temperature (standard temperature is 15 Celsius at sea level and decreases 2 degrees C per 1000 feet.This was a much warmer than standard day so density altitude is higher and therefore killing performance.
