Zepbound Stopped Working? What a Plateau Actually Is (Week 7)

Your Zepbound stopped working. That's what it feels like at week 7 when the scale goes quiet, and the internet is standing by to tell you that you hit a plateau. I'm a service disabled Air Force vet, two months into Zepbound through the VA, and three weeks ago my scale did exactly that. It went quiet, then it ticked back up. I didn't panic. I waited for a trend, and I went and read what a plateau actually is. The studies Zepbound was approved on define one as your weight changing less than 5 percent across a full 12 week stretch, and every 12 week stretch after that. Not a week. Not two weeks. And the typical plateau doesn't show up until somewhere around week 24 to week 36. Week 7 isn't even on the map. Three weeks later I'm at a new all time low, down 15.5 pounds, from 236.0 to 220.5. I'm not going to sit here and tell you it's fixed, for the same reason I never told you it was broken. This one's for anybody a few weeks into one of these drugs who felt their stomach drop when the number stopped moving. Vets on Zepbound or Wegovy, anyone on the GLP-1 family, and especially the person on the fence, scared it'll quit the second they commit. I'm not a doctor and I'm definitely not your doctor. I'm a vet reading the research out loud and telling you what I did with it. Two things in this video are real medical calls and not YouTube calls: whether your stall is actually something more, and whether your dose should change. Both go through whoever prescribes for you.
