Why I’m Putting Guitar Pedals on My Drums (And You Should Too)

I’m taking a break from my usual recording routine to experiment with something a bit more "vibey." In this video, I'll show you how I record drums through a vintage DOD DFX9 Digital Delay pedal to get some unique, gritty textures. I’m using a "Character Mic" setup where I take a high-impedance Shure Unidyne B (515SA) directly into the pedal and then into my Warm Audio WA-MPX preamp.
