This video is about making cuttlefish rigs. While many cuttlefish rigs have already been released, some people were curious about my rig, so I made this video. I've taken into account the theory I know and the characteristics of each of the materials needed for rigs, and have decided to share the rig I'm aiming for. First, before making the rig, I need to explain the materials. Why and why do I use these materials to make rigs? I'll try to explain as simply as possible. The information I'll explain is based on my current experience, so please be aware that there may be errors. There are two main points I'll explain: the characteristics of line, the main material for making rigs, and secondary materials like snap, dora, or snap dora. I'll explain the characteristics. First, the main material for making rigs: Line is broadly divided into monofilament and blade. Simply put, monofilament is a single-filament line. Blade is a single-filament line. Braided line refers to a line made by twisting multiple lines together. Of these, the lines we'll naturally use for rigs are three types: nylon, carbon, and ester, which are single-filament yarns. Let's take a look at these three. First, nylon: has the same specific gravity as water, so it sinks the slowest in water, has excellent elasticity and linear strength, and is generally inexpensive. However, once stretched, nylon does not fully recover. Second, carbon: has a much higher specific gravity than water, so it sinks quickly. Although its elasticity is lower than nylon, its greatest advantage, its resistance to abrasion, making it the most advantageous line for fishing primarily on rough bottoms. However, it is also pricey. Finally, there's ester line, which has recently become popular for cuttlefish rigs. I honestly don't quite understand why ester line is so popular for cuttlefish. However, if you use ester line for cuttlefish fishing, I'll focus on the advantages. Ester line has very little elasticity, so it's very sensitive and has excellent straightness. It rarely rides the current and has minimal tangles. However, it's very susceptible to line trouble, and once it tangles, it tends to stay tangled forever. Furthermore, it has a higher specific gravity than water, so it tends to sink. The biggest drawbacks of ester line that I don't like are its vulnerability to sudden force, and its very low knot strength. This means it's not a good line for heavy, direct tackle, but it's definitely a good line to use as a main line in fishing genres where finesse and bite sensitivity are important. Actually, in my opinion, ester line is not a line I would recommend. While it has clear advantages in fishing for trout or mackerel, where light tackle is used, and where the sensitivity of the cuttlefish bite is crucial, it's not a good line for fishing for cuttlefish. I don't feel it because it's so sensitive. I wonder if they use ester line... I'm not sure, haha. So, for cuttlefish rigs, my go-to line is nylon. The biggest reason, honestly, is its cheapness! Haha. It has the same specific gravity as water, so it doesn't sink to the bottom as quickly as other lines. You can expose your lure by poling it even 0.001 seconds longer. Even without tensioning, which I often do, the line doesn't sink to the bottom as quickly, which is beneficial for snagging. It's also heat-resistant and less tangled when knotted. It has good elasticity, making it more likely to escape snagging than other lines. And most importantly, it's affordable. Let me explain the types of doraemons and snaps used in cuttlefish rigs. The types of doraemons and snaps used in cuttlefish rigs include: A mandoraemon swivel, which connects the rig to the main line. There are dorae, and snap dorae, swivel snaps, etc., which connect jigs or sinkers to the rig. The dorae I'll explain first are: the bare dorae, which connects the rig to the main line, and the swivel dorae. Both bare dorae and swivel dorae are widely used. The biggest difference between the two is simply that the swivel dorae is an evolved version of the bare dorae. The quickest way to understand this is to think of it as a swivel dorae. The rotating part that assisted the rotation of the existing bare dorae is exposed, which often causes line trouble. Think of the swivel dorae as something that wraps around the rotating part. Also, the appropriate lake size for swivel dorae is Since the dorae is used as a leader connecting the rig to the main line, we recommend a smaller swivel dorae, which has minimal line trouble and is less affected by currents. When fishing, be careful. During the countless reeling and lowering movements, even a single mistake can cause the swivel to slide into the top guide, and damage the guides. Therefore, I recommend attaching a cushioned rubber to the front of the rig. Personally, I recommend tying a knot to connect the main line and the r...
