“Organic won’t save your soul!” Homily: Sunday of the Most Holy Body and Precious Blood of Christ (A) Who among us reads food labels before buying? Who checks the calories, sugar, protein, and ingredients? We live in a fascinating era. We want to eat organic, natural, gluten-free, lactose-free, pesticide-free, and preservative-free food. We sometimes travel miles to find the best restaurant, the best coffee shop, or the best health product. For a concert, a game, or a festival, we’re willing to drive two hours. But for Mass? We sometimes find ten minutes too long. For Communion? We arrive late. For Thanksgiving? We leave before the final blessing. For Jesus? We don’t always have the time.
