Breve historia del ferrocarril de España , desde sus comienzos hasta hoy.

The Havana-Güines Railway, the first railway in Spain. The history of the first Spanish railway and the first in Latin America begins on November 19, 1837, with the inauguration of the line between Havana and Bejucal in what is now the Republic of Cuba (then a province of Spain). A notable peculiarity is that the Spanish railway network uses different types of track: Iberian or conventional gauge (1,668 millimeters), used on most of the network; UIC or international standard gauge (1,435 millimeters), used on high-speed lines; and narrow gauge (less than 1,435 millimeters).
