(known in North America as Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam) is A charming crossover RPG developed by AlphaDream for the Nintendo 3DS. It combines the worlds of the Mario & Luigi series with the two-dimensional universe of Paper Mario. Story: When two worlds collide The story begins when the clumsy Luigi accidentally opens a mysterious book in the library of Princess Peach's castle. This causes countless paper objects and Paper World inhabitants to scatter throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. Chaos ensues: there are now two princesses, two Bowsers, and two versions of the Koopalings. Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario must join forces to restore order and defeat both versions of Bowser. The core gameplay is based on the classic turn-based battle system, where timing is crucial for attacks and defenses. Three-hero control: You control the party simultaneously using the A (Mario), B (Luigi), and Y (Paper Mario) buttons. Trio Actions: Outside of battles, you use abilities like the Trio Hammer, Trio Glider, or Trio Drill to overcome obstacles in the terrain. Trio Attacks: In battle, you unleash powerful attacks like the Trio Dragon or the Trio Whirl, which involve all three heroes. Battle Cards: A strategic element is the Battle Cards, which allow you to boost stats or weaken opponents. There's also amiibo support for special card sets.
