Dying Light 2 Review The first Dying Light game may not have been one of my favorites, and I respected the gameplay it offered, from parkour to melee combat, which was truly enjoyable. However, I had a lot of problems with the game's mission design and repetition. I even tried to give the game another chance after its performance stabilized with updates, and I found myself having the same comments. However, in 2019, when the sequel was announced, I was extremely excited for the game. This was because Techland had hired one of the biggest and most important RPG designers, Chris Avellone. As someone who loves games that Chris has worked on, I expected there would definitely be a clear improvement in mission design and storytelling, with a wealth of choices, as is typical of his games. Even the development team was marketing the game significantly in 2019, thanks to Chris's support. However, since the beginning of 2020, even before the pandemic spread widely, reports have emerged regarding conflicting opinions among fans. The developers, production issues, and chaos in the studio, followed by Chris Eveleon's dismissal from the development team, along with the pandemic and delays, all caused people to significantly lower their expectations for the game.
