Tips: Prototype racing cars are designed to be neither Formula Cars nor Touring Cars, and there are all kinds available, in a variety of years and classes. However, the majority are high-powered rear-wheel drive vehicles, and require a firm and skilful hand behind the wheel. S-Mission Race 2 (02:34) GT by Citroen Race Car (608pp / -- hp / -- kg) "A sector-based time trial dream cars. Overtake both opponents, and sprint for the finish line! Tips: The GT by Citroen is a dream car resulting from a meeting of minds between the Gran Turismo team and Citroen. In this challenge, you will be driving the racing model. Although extremely stable, it tends to understeer a little, so you'll need to watch your speed on the way into corners, especially as understeering on city courses can lead to collisions with walls and barriers. S-Mission Race 3 (04:50) Lancer Evolution X Rally Car (539pp / --- hp / 1115kg) "A sector-based time trial on wthe snowy slopes of Chamonix. Shake off the rival cars, and race for the finish as fast as you can! Tips: A key consideration here is how to handle the consecutive corners on the second half of the course. It's tempting to settle into a long drift through them, but sideways sliding should be kept to an absolute minumum, as keeping your car pointing forwards as much as possible will make for better lap times. You will also need to be careful not to take corners too wide. Try instead to stick tightly to the inside line. S-Mission Race 4 (07:25) Elise 111R '04 (440pp / 189hp / 860kg) "A sector-based time trial on a track that has seen more than its fair share of legendary events: Britain's Brands Hatch.. Shake of the rival cars, and race for the finish as fast as you can! Tips: There are only four corners, so you'll have to drive very every single one perfectly and grab every chance to overtake you get. Don't be afraid to try and force your way into an opponent's inside if you think it might get you ahead. The first corner is the most important, and if you can make it through there nice and fast, the rest should be a breeze. S-Mission Race 5 (09:37) GT40 Mark I '66 (521pp / 335hp / 1080kg) "This is a time trial set over a single lap, in which you must battle your way past the car in front. Avoid collisions, don't leave the track, and race for a record time! Tips: This is a long track, so your main focus should be in getting around it without making any mistakes. Ford GTs are unstable when decelerating, so just as with other MR cars, you'll have to try only to brake in a straight line.
