Sofia Isella dropped an AMAZING song about a problematic bible verse. Was she right in what she says about Numbers 31:17-18? What can Christians learn from her song? A while ago, I came across her music and made a massive article applying the lyrics of one of her songs to Christian women (linked below). Thus, as a Christian who is interested in feminism and a huge fan of Sofia, I was excited to react to this song for you! While I will not go into depth on Num 31:17-18, I can provide some backstory. In short, the Midianites had done some terrible stuff to Israel, so God commands Israel to go to war against them. The soldiers do not follow the command of God and Moses properly, and that is when Moses (not God) commands Israel to kill the males and women, but keep the virgins. A horrible command from Moses indeed.
