Topwater may not be the most effective way for catching black bass and spot tail, but it definitely is the most exciting way to do so. The heart-pounding surface explosions are pure adrenaline. The fatigue from throwing lures all day on a heavy set is real. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope that the next cast might just bring about a big "POM"!
