Former Chkalovsk Mayor Alexander Kudryashov, who was tried for abuse of office for the second time, has been sentenced. As a reminder, in 2021, Kudryashov signed the completion certificates for the Chkalovsk embankment improvements, even though he knew the work was unfinished. The contractor then received 60 million rubles, abandoned the work, and disappeared. The embankment wasn't completed until 2023, and Kudryashov's trial began. In April 2024, he was convicted and received a suspended sentence of 3.5 years. He is currently being tried in a different case, but under the same circumstances: in 2023, the mayor also signed the acceptance certificates for the work, this time for the Victory Park improvements.
