At 18, he coached a high school team, and at 20, he studied coaching in Barcelona. After graduating from university, he researched coaching at Waseda University Graduate School. Following coaching at a Tokyo metropolitan high school and further coaching studies in Sydney, he joined FC Imabari. He was involved with both the academy and the top team, experiencing promotion to the JFL. He has since served as head coach of Tokyo Verdy U-14, Vissel Kobe U-14, worked on academy optimization, and coached Kagoshima United U-18, leading to his current position.
