CALOTE? GOVERNO DO PT FICA COM R$ 200 MILHÕES DOS MUNICÍPIOS DO RN

Even with the payment of R$ 17 million made yesterday, the State Government's debt to the municipalities has risen to over R$ 200 million, after the due date of new unpaid transfers. According to FEMURN (Federation of Municipalities of Rio Grande do Norte), the overdue amounts are distributed as follows: IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax): R$ 50,403,479.63 ICMS (Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services): R$ 95,014,192.25 Fundeb (ICMS): R$ 67,477,772.24. The total amount owed to the municipalities, updated by the Federation of Municipalities, is R$ 212,926,331.45. The Federation warns that the increase in debt worsens the financial situation of the municipalities and may compromise the continuity of public services, especially in the areas of health, education, social assistance, and infrastructure. The organization reiterates its request for the State Government to urgently regularize the constitutional transfers owed to the municipalities of Rio Grande do Norte.
